ps-hotel

Recently I had the good fortune to stay overnight in a historic landmark in Palm Springs. In 1947, architect William F. Cody designed the Del Marcos Hotel located at 225 W. Baristo Road. Cody included design elements meant to bring people together. Read more about the history here: delmarcoshotel.com

The building wraps around a patio pool area. It's early in the morning and the sun has not yet come up.

ps-church

Venturing outside on foot, I noticed an old church undergoing restoration. The Palm Springs Community Church, located at 284 S. Cahuilla Road, burned in 2013. Now it will serve as a new wing of an adjacent boutique hotel. Preservationists are in favor, since this will allow the historic building a new life.
