Dreaming Peace:
Your Thoughts Can Change the World

by Nori Muster
Surrealist.org 2007

This book invokes the spirit of the classic positive thinking movement, which first taught American businessmen how the mind influences reality:

How to Win Friends and Influence People, 1936, by Dale Carnegie (1888-1955)
Think and Grow Rich, 1937, by Napoleon Hill (1883-1970)
The Power of Positive Thinking, 1952, by Norman Vincent Peale (1898-1993)
The Strangest Secret, 1956, by Earl Nightingale (1921 - 1989)
Psycho-cybernetics, 1960, by Maxwell Maltz, M.D., F.I.C.S. (1899-1975)

Nori Muster analyzed these, and the entire library of positive thinking literature, tracing it back to its roots in America, to the American Transcendentalist literary movement. She distilled the information for two years, 2002 - 2004, to develop the best way to apply it to collective problems in the new century.

Throughout those years, all TV news pundits insisted that "9/11 changed everything!" However, the basic laws of physics never change. It was true when Ralph Waldo Emerson said it and it is still true today: thoughts contain power to shape reality. Upon learning to use the power correctly, we can finally quit repeating the mistakes of history.

The power works according to three basic concepts: autosuggestion, positive mental attitude, and cooperation. There is a concise, information-packed chapter for each, and a chapter on how to use the power of thought to solve collective problems.

Resources
Nori started to study positive thinking in response to Sept. 11, 2001, to prove that 9/11 did not have to change everything. With caution, we can bring the American tradition of optimism, honesty, and common sense into new century. Here is a summary of her research:

Appendix I: The History of Positive Thinking
Appendix II: The Positive Thinking Timeline
Appendix III: Positive Thinking Quotations
