There are no designated historic districts in Tempe, but there are several subdivisions eligible for historic recognition, including Borden Homes, Goodwin Homes, Park Tract, College View, Roosevelt Addition, Gage Addition, and University Park. Another area of interest is the Arizona State University Historic District, which includes university buildings covering a hundred years of history and architecture. Click here to read more at the City of Tempe website.

These subdivsions are adjacent to a thriving downtown area and the ASU campus, so the home prices are relatively high. Beat the developers! Preserve a historic house in Tempe!
