Marvel at the UCM Museum, by John Preble.

Nori art photo

The Mystery House is John Preble's collection of kitsch artwork with a sense of humor. He is a artist, musician, and local hero. He has become the de facto leader of of the Abita Springs artist enclave. By his motto, "Be Strange, not a Stranger," he sets the tone for this close-knit community that includes a Sunday art market. The UCM collection is housed in a converted vintage gas station near the entrance of the Tammany Trace Rail to Trail biking and hiking trail. Also just down the street is the Abita Brewery, home of Abita beers and root beer.
