Me and Don.

Malcolm, me, and Don. The photo is marked January 1973, probably taken in my backyard. I graduated high school in January 1973, so it could have been a graduation get-together for me.

Here's another photo from the 1970s, this is Malcolm and me. He was showing me and Kathryn an instrument he made. Photo by Kathryn Weller.

Now here's an old photo. This was Janelle and me rehersing a scene from our play for drama class, circa 1972. J.D. Mortenson wrote the play. Does anyone know where Janelle is? It's always fun to reconnect with old friends. Look at those funny glasses i'm wearing!

Sad news in May 2004—Carlton Brian Sheldon, 49, of Phoenix, passed away in his sleep on May 2, 2004. Brian was born June 8, 1954, in Utica, NY. He attended Lafayette School and graduated from Camelback High School in 1972. For the last decade, Brian tended bar (and hustled pool) at Warsaw Wally's. Anyone who lost at video golf there would remember "Viagra Wood." Brian was a caring son, brother, and uncle. He leaves a legacy of a loving family and many wonderful friends. He is survived by his mother, May Sheldon; brothers Tom (Jane) and Paul; and sisters Judy Reader (Richard) and Joan Hull (T.C.). Also left to honor his memory are his companion Kathy Young and many nieces and nephews. Brian was welcomed into Heaven by his father Carlton R. Sheldon and his two best pals Rick and Simon. Although his life on this earth was not nearly long enough, he was a free spirit, who lived life to its fullest and his friends and family are grateful for the lifetime of wonderful memories that he gave us. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 13, 2004, at the El Zaribah Shrine Auditorium, 552 N. 40th Street, Phoenix. Sad news in 2012—Gary Schultz died after a long struggle with cancer. Rose Ann held a memorial for him at their home that was attended by about a hundred and fifty of Gary's closest friends. He played with several local bands, and many of us enjoyed seeing him over the years. RIP Gary Schultz.

UPDATE July 15, 2007
J.D. Mortenson, a pastry chef for most of his adult life, has posted three cooking videos at YouTube, check it out:
Easy Bread
Pizza Pie

Request - If anybody knows John Espinosa who attended Camelback High in the early 1970s, please ask him to contact us. The old gang still stays in contact, but nobody knows where to find John. (Click here for contact info.)

Here's another photo of me from those days:
